The Lady Rebels continue to dominate on the defensive end of the floor. Over the last four games the girls are only allowing their opponents to score 29.5 ppg, and during the stretch the girls own a 3-1 record. Our players are playing with great effort and execution on the defensive end of the floor right and it’s really impressive to watch. Offensively last night was a night and day difference when compared to Saturday’s loss against Union County, the Lady Rebels were much more aggressive on offens and stayed in attack mode throughout most of the game. Attacking the defense and making plays by getting in the lane for scores or finding teammates for open looks. Before the game we put an emphasis on getting out and running our fast break, and I thought our girls done an excellent job of pushing the ball up the floor. Jewelia Austin led the rebel scoring attack with 14 points off the bench including three 3 point field goals. All 7 players scored in the game, Maddie Mikesell and Emma Slick both had 8 points followed by Leann Wiggington with 7, Cierra Tomey with 6, Kalee Hayes with 5 and Shelby Jeffers chopped in with 2 pts. Lady Rebels are back in action this Saturday Dec. 1 for another conference game with the Wapahani Raiders. The girls will be sporting their new pink uniforms in honor of breast cancer awareness. Fans attending please feel free to join in and wear your pink.
