Boys Varsity Baseball · Solid Pitching helps secure the Win.

Colton Fisher pitched a solid 6 1/3 innings and Caleb Wissel comes in a strikes out the final two batters with bases loaded as the Rebels defeated Eastern Hancock 3-0 on Tuesday.   Caleb Wissel struck out Ryan Burris to finish off the game.  The pitching was strong on both sides.  Fisher and Wissel combined to struck out 11, while Eastern Hancock pitchers sat down four.  Colton Fisher was credited with the victory for Rebels allowing six hits and zero runs while striking out nine.  With bases loaded, Wissel threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen and recorded the last two outs via the strikeout to earn the save for the Rebels.  Trey Brown took the loss for Eastern Hancock.  He went 1 inning, allowing 1 run in relief.  Wissel and Quorbin McDavid each managed one hit to lead Rebels but a suicide squeeze by Fisher scoring Haines in the 3rd was the only run needed for the win.   Colton Fisher was solid on the mound but had a key stellar defensive play by Quorbin McDavid to stop a threat in the 6th.  The Rebels are scheduled to play Wednesday at home against Union City and the Host the Randolph County Tournament on Saturday.  MC vs UC in game one at 9:00 and RS vs WC in game two.
